How do I check a member’s eligibility?
Eligibility checks confirm a member's current coverage and IPA assignment.
Go to the Eligibility Check tool
From the main menu, select Members → Eligibility Check. This tool allows you to verify coverage in real time for any member you believe is assigned to your IPA.
Search for the member
Enter the member’s ID number, or search by last name and date of birth. Starting March 2026, you can also search by date of birth alone — helpful for new patients who may not have their member ID card yet. Click Search to retrieve results.
Review coverage details
The eligibility result shows the member’s current plan, effective date, IPA assignment, primary care physician, and any active benefit limitations. Print or download the eligibility confirmation for your records. This confirmation is accepted by Astrana as proof of eligibility at the time of service.
